Mary is a broker in our Big Sky office and has lived in Big Sky for 35 years. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and together with her husband Brian, raised their sons here. She has been heavily involved in the growth of Big Sky over the years and has past or current service on the following Boards of Directors or Trustees: Big Sky Owners Association, School Board District #72, Big Sky Chapel, Summit Owners Association, Powder Ridge Owners Association, Lone Peak Center Owners Association, Historic Crail Ranch Conservators and the Big Sky Park District.

She has coached and been involved with the community's children, started and ran a non-profit preschool, was instrumental in the establishment of the Big Sky Community Park, is active in St. Joseph's Catholic Community, and is a member of the Gallatin Canyon Women's Club and the Big Sky Community Library.

Professionally, Mary is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council, the Montana Association of Realtors, and the Gallatin Association of Realtors. She has attained additional real estate expertise by obtaining the following professional real estate designations: Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), and Accredited Buyer's Representative (ABR). She is known as a local professional for buyers and sellers alike, covering both the greater Big Sky and Bozeman areas in all areas of expertise, from mountain ski-in/out vacation properties to year-round residential living, from vacant land, luxury, club, and recreational properties, developer parcels and beyond.

We are so blessed to have gotten into our fantastic home, and realtor-wise, all credit goes to Mary Wheeler. It was thanks to her constant vigilance in the home search that she found the property, suggested we take a look at it practically as soon as it went on the market, and she put together and submitted our offer extremely quickly, ensuring we'd have a good chance at getting it. Being a bank owned property, the purchase had its challenges, yet thanks to her vast experience and knowledge of the process, she guided us through it all and quite honestly made it happen, actively working with all parties to ensure the transaction would be successful. I honestly believe that if it wasn't for Mary, we would have missed out on a fantastic opportunity.Mary also helped us purchase two condominiums before our house. I highly recommend Mary Wheeler as a real estate agent for Big Sky, Montana. She knows the market very well and provides extremely detailed analysis for purchasing or listing properties. She is well known and highly respected in the community which allows for excellent negotiation and finalization of sales.

She does a great job marketing her properties and invests the needed time to promote her listings.

Simply put, Mary did an outstanding job.

As an out-of-state owner it was difficult to imagine that selling our condo would be easy. With Mary's help the process was streamlined and as easy as anyone could wish. Mary's professionalism, honesty, and going above and beyond - meetings with the buyers agent, inspectors, condo association board members, and several overnight mailings of paperwork to both sets of owners (residing in Arizona and Texas) - made what is usually an arduous process much more tolerable. Her knowledge of the Big Sky real estate market helped us list our property at an attractive price, resulting in a quick sale - even in this tougher real estate market.

It was a pleasure working with Mary and we've even remained in contact after the sale. I am honored to share our wonderful experience with others and I definitely recommend using Mary for any Big Sky real estate need.
