Mike Schlauch

Mike Schlauch was born in Bozeman and raised in western Montana. Working for his father’s fencing company throughout high school and college instilled a solid early work ethic while giving Mike the opportunity to experience a large part of the state.

Mike Schlauch was born in Bozeman and raised in western Montana. Working for his father’s fencing company throughout high school and college instilled a solid early work ethic while giving Mike the opportunity to experience a large part of the state.

A 1984 graduate of Montana State University in Construction Engineering Technology, Mike spent the next 13 years working throughout the United States for a heavy industrial construction company. Based first out of Los Angeles and then Salt Lake City, Mike managed large complex projects in the mining, utility, manufacturing, and refining industries.

In 1997, with a strong desire to return his family back to Montana, Mike met new business partners, and together, built one of the largest and most respected custom home construction companies in the region, Schlauch/Bottcher Construction, Inc. (SBC) In 2009 after 30 years working solely in the construction industry, Mike made the decision to pursue new work interests and challenges and divested his interests in SBC to his former partners.

Joining PureWest in 2011, Mike brought his solid work ethic, extensive construction and business knowledge, along with his love, history, and respect for Montana, to his real estate clients and transactions.

By leveraging Christie’s luxury brand and combining his love and knowledge of custom residential homes and unique land parcels, Mike has built one of the most successful real estate teams in the state. Blending his experience in design, construction, and business, Mike brings a specialized analytical approach to pricing and marketing unique properties for his sellers, as well as guiding buyers of all experience levels in making informed and knowledgeable purchases and investments. 

This approach to real estate, along with the work ethic and attention to detail of Mike and his team, has proven results with hundreds of transactions, many of which have broken barriers in the luxury residential market. This result-oriented business model has consistently ranked Mike and his team within the top 1% of agents in the region and the top 1.5% of agents in the nation, in addition to the elite Masters Circle of Christie's International agents. 

Mike and his wife, Tracy, reside in Bozeman and enjoy watching and participating in the lives of their two grown daughters, families, and grandchildren, while continuing to enjoy all of the Montana passions they grew up with, skiing, hiking, and lake time.
